BEA ROMANO enjoys playing solo dulcimer music as well as tailoring a of group of musicians for your event. She will work with you to create just the right mix of musicians for your events and celebrations, receptions, clubs, libraries, churches, private parties, art walks, or festivals.
Bea has been providing beautiful background music for a variety of events for more than 20 years. Actually, her first dulcimer was dated April 1st! No kidding! When more depth is needed for the music, her husband, Jim, provides excellent fingerstyle guitar backup.
Not only does Bea play hammered dulcimer, but she and husband Jim, are two of the group of founders of the Southern California Dulcimer Heritage. www.scdh.org. Bea also began the Downey Autoharp Circle in hopes of finding local players to practice autoharp with.
WHEN PIGS FLY! is an exciting and distinct four-member ensemble who celebrates the musical traditions of the British Isles and its evolution in America. Their Celtic aires will pull at your heart strings, and their jigs and reels will set your feet in motion. WPF’s traditional American music features seafaring songs, bluegrass, Appalachian and cowboy songs. At their concerts they not only play and sing, but also teach the history of the tunes and, upon demand, tell silly pig jokes to boot! They have been described as one of the “most refreshing sounds” out there today. WPF! is adaptable to most any venue. From back-yard parties to museums, festivals, and concerts.
